# Create an Account

You can create an account by using your legal first and last name, email address and password, here: <https://rally.io/signup/>

{% hint style="info" %}
Note we no longer support new accounts created with Outlook or Hotmail email domains.

If using an email with a custom domain, ensure @rally.io and @email.rally.io email domains are allowlisted and/or added to your contacts.
{% endhint %}

### Account Settings

#### Updating your Profile

Name and Username can be edited in the Profile section of account settings. Note: Email Address cannot be edited once an account is created.

Under the Connections section of account settings, you can link your Twitter, Twitch and Discord accounts to your Rally account, allowing you to send and receive transfers using platform specific usernames.

### Security

#### 2-step verification

We recommend enabling 2-step verification to secure your account with one of the following options:

1. Authenticator app (Recommended, most secure)
 * Download Authy or Google Authenticator on your mobile device to enable

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://wiki.rally.io/rally-io/how-to-use/create-an-account.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
